Wymond House

CottageLocated in Roleystone, Western Australia, Wymond House was built by the Wymond family in the 1940’s.
The original house is made of hand made concrete bricks. As building supplies were in short supply, many of the doors and windows in the house are from former Perth buildings. The story goes that they carried water up from the Canning River for the mixing of the bricks.

The garden is mature, with many of the older trees in the garden planted by Mrs Wymond. These trees would include the Port Wine Magnolia, the Golden Ash, Date Palm, Ornamental Pistachio, Poplars, Camelias, Liquid Ambers, Ruse, Hibiscus, English May, the Privet Hedge, Umbrella Trees and many of the older roses.
